It's time to get outdoors and enjoy the splendor and communion with nature. Come join us for the ultimate in outdoor adventure through scenic and historical trails of the local Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area with our Hike and Lunch, Summer Meditation, and Hike and Wine programs.

Join us as we visit some of the DMV's favorite hiking trails. The terrain varies from easy to moderate level along the 4-to-8-mile journeys. This year's themed hikes include walks along the streets of Washington, DC of the 13 colony states. Explore the city and learn some history about the origins of this country.

Hiking Schedule:
January 18: Fort Marcy along the Potomac Heritage Trail - 5 miles. Moderate level with some inclines
February 8: Urban hike in Frederick, Maryland - 5 miles. Easy level
March 21: 13 Colonies Part 1 Urban Walk in Washington, DC - 6 miles. Easy Level
April 4: PF2 Trail in Maryland - 5 miles. Easy to moderate level
May 23: Overall Run Trail in Virginia - 6 miles. Moderate level
October 10: 13 Colonies Part 2 Urban Walk in Washington, DC - 6 miles. Easy level
October 26: Full Moon Night Hike in Washington, DC. 5 miles. Easy Level
November 7: 13 Colonies Part 3 Urban Walk in Washington, DC - 6 miles. Easy Level
November 29: Hike the historic Civil War Trail at the Murphy Farm and the Appalachian Trail in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. This is any easy level hike for 6 miles.

Summer Evening Walking Meditation Program
A Communion With Your Inner Self Unwind from your day and
listen to the sounds of nature, silence, and your inner wisdom
as we take peaceful walks through local parks and central
downtown DC locations. Learn a simple yet powerful way to
meditate by "walking with your self" through silence. Let this
commune with nature invigorate your mind, body, and spirit.
Each session consists of:
- A Pre-walk "Intro to Meditation" to prepare you for the walk with suggested mediation techniques to use
- Walking in silence along the paths
- A Post-walk reflection and time for sharing
The evening program is from 6:30-8:30PM at the following locations around the Washington DC area:
2026 Program Dates:
Saturday, May 23: Glover Archibald Park into Georgetown
Sunday, June 7: Circles of Washington, DC featuring local historical sites
Saturday, August 8: C&O Canal in Georgetown
Saturday, September 12: Soapstone Valley Trail North
Cost is $10 per session or $25 for the entire series. Come to participate and learn all about how you can use meditation techniques to enhance your life. Register for each session on the Fresco Adventure Meetup or SAVE with the purchase of all sessions for just $25

Hike and Wine Tasting Program
Join us for a short 2 mile hike with experienced guides through
trails along the Patuxent River in Maryland or the Appalachian Trail in
Virginia (based on the tour location). In the afternoon we visit a local
winery for lunch and wine tasting.
