Join the Fresco Adventure group on a journey back in time to the seventh continent of Antarctica. This ecological wonder and fascinating territory contains more than 90% of the earth’s land ice, which transforms it into the largest freshwater reserve on earth. We’ll catch viewings of the marine Antarctic fauna of whales, seals, and penguins, as well as a variety of seabirds while enjoying the scenery of mountainous glaciers and roaming icebergs.
Travel with us to this magical land during the austral summer, when the days are long and relatively mild and massive icebergs thaw into sculptures of brilliant form and color. We will visit Antarctica via a small cruise ship (less than 100 people) traveling along ice-filled fjords and between spectacular icebergs observing the wildlife. Your journey southwards will include visits to some of the most magnificent spots on the continent. When we land at designated locations, we will ride out in Zodiac boats to explore. There are typically two landings per day (in the morning and afternoon). Onboard, there will be many activities and lectures for learning.
This adventure includes 4 nights in Chile and 4 days of cruising with both a cruise to Antarctica and a fly-back after visiting all the wildlife. We start by traversing the southern part of Chile and Argentina and then cruise 2 days to cross the Drake passage. After reaching the continent we will cruise 2 days visiting various locations on zodiac boats in the morning and afternoon starting at the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctica Peninsula. After the fly-back, relax at an all-inclusive adventure resort for 3 nights
Visas and Passports are needed for this trip. Additional information to obtain the Visa will be provided.
